The present book “Root-knot nematode (Meloidogyne spp.): Morphology and molecular characterization, biology, pathogenicity and bio-management” is an attempt to provide the graduate and post - graduate students with a tool to study about the root-knot nematodes and its different aspects which will enhance the knowledge further about it. It is the outcome of research work with the incorporation of recent findings and also aimed at contributing the knowledge and information available to the scientific and farming communities.
The book contained brief introduction including the reasons for taking up this particular nematode, previous research, classical identification based on morphological and morphometric, molecular technique for characterization and effect of temperature on its biology. It also contained the pathogenicity studies and bio-management against this nematode in green gram. The concluding chapter deals with research work, summary, references and finally the appendix.
We hope that, this book will serve as valuable resources for graduate, post graduate, researchers and also farmers of their interest.
