Phantom Vibration Syndrome (PVS) is a psychological phenomenon that deals with the sensation of phone ringing even when it has not. This has been constantly affecting people majorly using mobile phones or smart phones. With the increasing digital world and need of the scenario the cases has been gradually increasing. The concept explores that how habitual use of mobile phones has rapidly accelerated the cognitive conditioning leading to the misinterpretation of the sensory stimuli. The chapter examines effect of PVS on mental and overall well-being of an individual through interdisciplinary lens combining psychological, neurological and behavioral studies and to provide insight into the emergence of this syndrome as well as coping strategies along with the deeper trends in relation with humans and technology.
