Postpartum women often experience significant musculoskeletal changes and challenges due to the physiological and biomechanical demands of pregnancy. These changes can result in persistent discomfort or dysfunction, affecting their quality of life and overall health. This chapter aims to evaluate the musculoskeletal alterations observed in postpartum women and highlighting the importance of comprehensive musculoskeletal assessment and interventions for effective recovery. Key findings indicate that common postpartum musculoskeletal problems include posture and gait, diastasis recti and pelvic girdle pain. Hormonal changes, weight gain, and biomechanical shifts during pregnancy contribute significantly to these outcomes. A multidisciplinary approach that includes comprehensive postpartum assessments and personalized treatment plans is critical for addressing musculoskeletal challenges in postpartum women.
