Abstract

The women comprise almost more almost forty eight percent of country’s population. The various research conducted reveal that the women participation in work force is very less in India, and the presence of women as entrepreneurs has led to significant business and economic growth in the country. Women-owned business enterprises are playing a prominent role in society by generating employment opportunities, bringing in demographic shifts and inspiring the next generation of women founders. Today, in India the women participation in work force is very low as compared to other developed nations, but the Indian government is trying hard to increase and promote the women participation in economic activities for achieving its very ambitious objective of USD 5 trillion economies
