Bioethanol is a alternate form of fuels, With the increase in population, the demand for fuel from renewable resources is increasing as the sources of fossil fuel are exhausting. In this perspective production of biofuels gained importance and now biofuels are obtained by the fermentation of sugarcane and starch-based cereals and lignocellulosic materials including wheat straws, woodchips, agricultural and forest residues, etc. Microorganism also play important role in production of Bioethanol e.g., Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Also Different types of generation techniques production of Bioethanol, as these sources have certain limitations attention has been shifted towards the use of algae as a feedstock for biofuel. The conversion of these feedstock’s into ethanol with the help of microorganisms is in consideration to meet the demand for fuel from renewable resources.
