Finishing refers to a broad range of operations and procedures that a fabric may undergo after its creation (knitted or woven) and coloring (dyed or printed). The global industry and scientific community are becoming increasingly interested in the development of textile finishing with enhanced functional characteristics. The process of finishing textiles adds significant value to them. The apparel and textile industries have seen several amazing advancements over the past two decades. This chapter explains various techniques for finishing textiles. The data collected for the chapter were supplemented by secondary data from various published and unpublished sources as well as electronic sources.
