Abstract

The new group of insect control insecticides includes neonicotinoids, spinosyns, avermectins, oxadiazines, fiproles, pyrroles, pyridine azomethine, ketoenols and benzenedicarboxamides. Natural products acting selectively on insect pests, such as spinosad, avermectins and azadirachtin, have been introduced for controlling selected groups of insect pests. Compounds acting on the nervous site that controls the sucking pest of whiteflies and aphids, such as pymetrozine or respiration, such as diafenthiuron, have been introduced for controlling sucking pests (Ishayaa et al., 2007).These insecticides play an important role in IPM of many insect pests with good bio-efficacy, high selectivity and low mammalian toxicity, which make them attractive replacements for organochlorines, organophosphates, carbamates and pyrethroid insecticides (Cardwell et al., 2005).
