Floriculture is becoming a booming venture in the country during the past few decades due to the high remunerations generated from export activities as well as domestic market. However, due to disease and pest attacks in the ornamental crops and their mismanagement, the industry is facing a setback in its production and productivity. Hence, an advertent study of the fundamentals of the diseases and pests, that is their symptoms, causal organism, life cycle and epidemiology is crucial in order to cushion the plants from these pests. The following chapter will highlight the various diseases and insect pests that attack the ornamental crops along with the management practices to be followed.
