Organic farming, eco-farming, biodynamic agriculture, natural farming and other new farming systems sprang from a variety of concerns and difficulties in modern agriculture. The core premise of these techniques remains the same, namely, returning to nature, where the philosophy is to nourish the soil rather than the crops in order to maintain soil health and to return to nature what has been stolen from it. Organic agriculture is called in various names by different people, though, the philosophy and basic concept remains the same.
