A garden without a lawn is not considered complete. The lawn is a natural green carpet that is an important aspect of a landscape. The soul of every garden is the lawn grass. In India, there are a variety of turf grass species that are grown. plugging, seedling, dibbling, and other procedures can be used to establish turf. Turf has various advantages, like soil erosion management. Sowing, weeding, irrigation, fertilization, coring, drilling, mowing, vertical mowing, rolling, spiking, matting, water injection cultivation, slicing, and application of wetting agents, turf colorant, IPM, plant growth regulators, weed management and other practices should all be done in turf grass management. An increasing research focus area is varietal improvement in turf grasses appropriate for Indian climates.
