Plant growth regulators (PGRs) as naturally occurring or synthetic compounds that affect developmental or metabolic processes in higher plant. In horticulture, viticulture, and modern agriculture, plant growth regulators are regularly utilized. It includes hormone receptor blockers, hormone biosynthesis or translocation inhibitors, and plant hormones or their synthetic analogues. They are known to induction of flowering and fruiting, reduction or increase of fruit set, retention, acceleration or delay of senescence processes including fruit ripening and defoliation. Application of plant growth regulators results in better output as it improves the internal physiology of developing fruits to improve fruit set, reduce fruit drop and to amend various physiological and nutritional disorders in order to improve quality and yield.
