Abstract

Integrated Nutrient Management refers to the maintenance of fertility of soil and plant nutrient supply at an optimum level for sustaining the productivity through various sources of organic, inorganic and biological components in an integrated manner. The objective of Integrated Nutrient Management (INM) is to combine the use of natural and inorganic nutrients to increase crop productivity and conserve the soil for future generations. Efficient use of all nutrient sources, including organic sources, recyclable wastes including the crop residues and wastes, inorganic fertilizers and biofertilizers are promoted through Integrated Nutrient Management approach. Flower crops are high value horticulture crop, which is having a greater export value besides the domestic markets. The continuous use of chemical fertilizers degrade the soil also the gradual reduction in flower yield more particularly the fragrance of flower crops. By understanding the INM practices of flower crops pays way for achieving high yield and good quality flowers.
