Flower is said to be the modified shoot and all the essential whorls like androecium and gynoecium plays a vital role in reproductive process. Meiosis is a key factor process in the formation of male and female gametes. Abnormal meiotic behavior creates both numerical as well as structural aberration in chromosomes and gametes. Current chapter highlights the types of chromosomal aberrations and its causes and consequences. Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (MAPS) of Kashmir Himalayas depicts the various chromosomal and gametal abnormalities which can even cause the failure in pollen formation and in turn halt the syngamy.
