Abstract

Cosmetics are in high demand worldwide, especially among women of all ages. Cosmetic items are intended for use on the human body to enhance and promote beauty and look. Despite the numerous risks connected to cosmetic usage, both cosmetics and "makeup" continue to be widely accepted, regardless of age and sex. This is made feasible by the extensive advertising that cosmetics manufacturers and marketers use. Advertising serves as the conduit between manufactured goods and potential customers, emotional advertising affects consumers' self-esteem and suggests these items as a cure for their low self-esteem. Despite the dangerous ingredients in cosmetic products being outlawed in many nations, a long range of ingredients, including lead, chromium, nickel, mercury, arsenic, cadmium, hydroquinone, steroids, phthalates, parabens, nitrosamine, etc., are still found in many cosmetic items. The majority of the time, toxicological and health risks that may be connected to continuous cosmetic application include: above regulatory values, cancers, renal disorders, thinning and easy brushing of the skin, dermatophyte infection with lesions, macular hyper pigmentation, pityriasis vesicular, diabetes mellitus, micropapular eruption, hypertension, etc. Herbal cosmetics garnered a lot of attention due to their potent effects and negligible negative effects when compared to synthetic medications.
