Assam is renowned for the variety of its flora, traditions and civilizations. The district of Assam, Kamrup has a distinct beauty due to its diverse range of plants. This district’s rural part, which are largely still unaffected by urbanization, are known for their variety of medicinally valuable plant species. Ate ties between many tribes and their traditional values heighten the significance of these plants. These days it’s imperative to protect these plants and document their historical applications to maintain their traditional value, which could lead to ground breaking discoveries. A few selected plants species that are significant to many populations everyday lives in the Kamrup (R) district are documented in this study.
