Nanomaterials are one of the most advancing and interesting approach in the field of organic synthesis as they show size related properties which are different from their larger sizes. A number of studies and research has been carried out, of which greener synthetic methods are acquiring much importance. Out of the various greener methods, plant extracts, microorganisms, UV irradiation and ionic Liquids are found to play significant role in synthesis and are discussed below. These methods are superior to traditional methods as they produce fewer toxic substances and are more environment friendly.
