Abstract

Assam is a region of rich cultural heritage and home for large no. of tribal communities. The Bodo people constitute the largest ethnic group amongst the tribal population of Assam. Ethnomedicinal survey of medicinal plants and animals used by traditional medicinal practitioners of tribal people forms a rich source of data which can be used in pharmaceutical industry for formulation of natural drug as well we can use them in home remedy. Collection of plant resources is the seasonal occupation of Boro people and they use diverse wild plants as well as some animals in healthcare. So here in this discussion we have gathered some information from various research works to show the rich ethnomedicinal resources of Boro people of Assam.
