About one in five fatalities worldwide are related to diet. Different types of malnutrition, such as obesity and undernutrition, can coexist in the same population in many low- and middle-income nations. The twin burden of hunger is straining health systems disproportionately, delaying the implementation of universal health coverage (UHC). Additionally, inadequate nutrition prevents local economies from expanding, which ultimately affects the global economy. In this essay, we contend that the double burden of malnutrition should be addressed by utilizing comprehensive primary health care as a platform. We review current proposals and offer advise on how policy-makers and practitioners of community-oriented primary health care may strengthen the Astana Declaration on primary health care and a conceptual framework based on human rights and strengthen the role of nutritional status within the community. To promote the nutritional, health and well-being of the selected community National nutritional policy, National nutrition Intervention Programmes and Primary health care plays significant role to uplift the society.
