Abstract

Environmentalists are deeply concerned about shifts in the planet's overall atmosphere. Electricity is generated using fossil fuels on a continuous basis. The combustion of these fuels releases greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide, which contribute to global warming. Warmer temperatures are also a product of deforestation. The threat of global warming continues to wreak havoc on the Earth's climate. Most people are also unaware of global warming and do not believe it will be a major issue in the future. The majority of people are unaware that global warming is actually occurring and that we are already witnessing some of its debilitating consequences. Ecosystems will be seriously harmed and ecological equilibrium will be disrupted. Some mechanisms must be formulated due to the perilous consequences of global warming. The paper discusses global warming, its causes and consequences, as well as some strategies and actions taken by national and international agencies and governments to address this pressing problem. Alternative energy sources like renewable energy are also available. Finding and using clean energy sources is one of the most important ways to tackle the ever-increasing effects of global warming.
