Abstract

Environmental pollution is one of the major problems that affect biodiversity, ecosystems and human health worldwide by contaminating soil, air and water. Man’s activities through urbanization, industrialization, mining and exploration are at the forefront of global environmental pollution. Soil pollution is becoming a greater threat to the environmental, especially as populations and industrial economics expand. The stress on water environment as a result of increased industrialization, which aids urbanization, is becoming very high thus reducing the availability of clean water. And air pollution is one of the major environmental issues. High population density is a huge contributory factor of air pollution in cities and urbanized area. These kinds of pollutions are not only seriously affecting the human by diseases and problems but also the animals and trees/plants.
