Animal manure is mostly urine and excrement, but it can also include bedding materials, dropped feed, scurf, and other farm wastes. Manure is commonly used as a fertilizer in agricultural production. Plant nutrients abound in manure. When manure is over-applied to cropland or when it runs off into surface water, it is considered an environmental pollutant. Because current rates of soil nutrient depletion are contributing to lower crop yields, the hunt for a long-term soil fertility replenishment approach is critical. Animal manure is a crucial component of this system. This type of manure treatment can improve the soil's physical, chemical, and microbiological biomass, which boosts crop output. The focus of the research was on the long-term effects of animal manure on soil health, productivity, and manure management strategies.
