Manures and fertilizers are a valuable source of nutrients for crops and pastures. To apply manure or compost to meet the nutrients of a crop, you need to know the amount of mineralized nutrients after application. Manure has been used in agriculture for thousands of years; Ancient farmers did not understand the chemistry involved, but they are able to recognize the benefit of providing organic matter to their crops. Manure preparation in India plays a very important role in improving the overall development of the agricultural sector. However, the global increase of animal production concentrates manure in smaller areas, creating nutrient hotspots. On the contrary, nutrient deficits often develop in areas where animal production is limited and which could benefit from manure spreading. An absolute approach to land application of manure is mandatory to improve agricultural value and minimize environmental and human health benefits. Regulations and incentive programs that promote reduced production intensity, manure transportation, or beneficial reuse of manure which includes alternative uses such as composting, biogas, or manure for energy that can improve the productive use of manure and reduce environmental problems which is associated with nutrient excess in areas of intensive animal production.
