In certain situations agriculture greatly exacerbates the problem of climate change, whereas in other circumstances, climate change inflames the environmental effects like it makes for 19-29% of all greenhouse gas emissions for satisfying expanding food demands. Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) is a set of agricultural practices and technologies which simultaneously boost productivity, enhance resilience and reduce GHG emissions. It functions under three prime objectives i.e. mitigate the adverse impacts of climate change on agriculture, stabilize crop production and maximize food security. It differs from traditional agricultural development and preserves ecosystem services with its flexible notion. The relevance of CSA is found in accomplishing global sustainability goals will be demonstrated by highlighting its triple win advantages, adaptation and mitigation potential, economic and social repercussions and the requirement for supporting policies.
