A preliminary view on the impact of mobile phone radiations on different life forms is presented. Electromagnetic radiation is a form of environmental pollution which may hurt all forms of life (flora and fauna). The seriousness of the health hazards due to radiation from the cell phones and cell towers has not been realized among the common man. Cell operators continue to claim that there are no health issues. Even international organizations (WHO, ICNIRP, FCC) have not recommended the safe radiation guidelines. Phone towers located in their living areas are irradiating some species for long-term effects, like reduction of their natural defenses, immunity, weakening of their health, reproductive ability, fecundity, and reduction of their useful territory through habitat deterioration. Electromagnetic radiation has exerted an adverse behavioral changes in rats, bats and many birds. In addition to the continuous radiation from cell towers, there is radiation from cell phones, wireless phones, computers, laptops, TV towers, FM towers, AM towers, microwave ovens, etc. We are exposed to all these radiations which are additive in nature. Therefore, radiofrequency pollution poses a serious threat for the decline of animal and plant populations living near phone masts. The chapter is an attempt to discuss these effects and promote their precautionary measures to minimize the effects. Hence, it suggests imperative that stricter radiation norms must be enforced by the policy makers.
