In recent years, significant research has focused on the synthesis of novel green nanoparticles for mosquito control purposes. Metallic green nanoparticles (NPs) have demonstrated their effectiveness in combating mosquitoes, but our understanding of these nano molecules remains incomplete. This book chapter provides a comprehensive review of the existing literature on metallic green synthesized nanoparticles. Emphasis is placed on evaluating the toxicity of these novel green NPs on mosquito larvae and pupae, with a particular focus on ecotoxicological aspects and their effects on non-target organisms.
