As of now two vaccines (Covishiled and Covaxin) by the Government of India and one vaccine (Russia’s Sputnik V) by Dr. Reddy’s Lab are approved for emergency use in India for above 18 years age group and Covaxin is approved for above 15 years age group. If you are unwell when at the time of your second dose of vaccine appointment, it is better to wait until you have recovered. You should try to get the second dose as soon as possible after recovery. You should not attend a vaccination appointment if you are self-isolating, or waiting for a COVID-19 test or unsure if you are not well. Complete schedule of vaccination will reduce chances of a person becoming seriously ill.
