This study provides empirical evidence on the correlation between coach leadership styles and players' motivation, highlighting the significant impact of a coach's leadership style on the motivation levels of athletes. To enhance comprehension, an array of leadership ideologies and strategies have been examined, encompassing transformational leadership, democratic coaching, autocratic coaching in the context of sports motivation, and situational leadership. It is imperative to comprehend the complex interplay between a coach's leadership style and the motivation levels exhibited by their athletes, as coaches wield substantial influence over the trajectory of sports development in the foreseeable future. Negative and domineering leadership styles have been found to hinder motivation and reduce the likelihood of attaining optimal sports outcomes. Conversely, positive leadership approaches have been shown to enhance motivation and elevate athlete performance.
