Indian Agriculture has witnessed several technological transformations in journey of food scare to food surplus country. Huge application of chemical fertilizers and pesticides cause soil degradation, biodiversity losses, rising cost of cultivation etc. which ultimately resulted in unremunerative agriculture. Natural farming approach imitates the way of nature. It's referred to as do-nothing farming or the natural approach of farming. It is totally chemical free farming system. In India, Natural farming is promoted as Bharatiya Prakritik Krishi Paddhati Programme (BPKP) under centrally sponsored scheme-Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana (PKVY). Zero Budget Natural Farming (ZBNF) is a variation of natural farming developed and primarily practiced in southern India. In organic farming compost, vermicompost are applied from external source but in natural farming no chemical as well as organic manures are used. The four main pillars of Zero Budget Natural Farming are Beejamrutha, Jeevamrutha, Acchadana and Whapasa. For encouraging natural farming in India various initiatives are launched by Government.
