Abstract

The study is related to the conceptual derivation and production of Moringa or Moringa oleifera. History of Moringa has suggested the application of Moringa exists from ancient times. This discussion is involved with the derivation of production procedure, cultivation, as well as significance of the Moringa plant. The study highlights the application of traditional as well as advanced technology for cultivation and production of Moringa based on the high-nutritive values of the plant. Moringa has antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-convulsion, and anticancer properties. In the ancient Egyptian civilization, Moringa has been used for the production of cosmetic products such as perfumes and skin care regime. The entire pant has pharmacological properties. There are a number of risks in consuming Moringa as it has anti fertility compounds. It also hinders the mechanism of certain drugs. It has been observed that the Moringa plants contain high value of protein, vitamin, carbohydrate, minerals, as well as phytochemicals. Nutritional value involved with the concerned plant has been responsible for addressing healthcare contexts. Multiple health issues such as diabetes, obesity, cholesterols, cancer, inflammatory disorder, and neurological complications have been cured through the extract of Moringa leaf. The study indicates the importance of Moringa in health-related benefits and requirement for focusing on large-scale production of Moringa.
