Sulphur-containing heterocycles have unique qualities that allow them to be employed as a possible material in a variety of industries, including medicinal/pharmaceutical, paint, and textiles, where they are required for a variety of chemical and physical processes as well as their use as products. They become more significant as a result of agrochemicals, medicine, and other factors. Sulfur heterocycles have piqued the interest of chemists in recent years due to their excellent bioactive nature, which allows them to exhibit a wide range of biological and pharmacological actions. S-heterocycles have long been recognised as a significant component and core of FDA-approved medications and medicinally active chemicals. In comparison to prior N-heterocycles, various attempts have been made to synthesis a variety of novel sulphur-containing molecules with high medicinal value and low toxicity profiles. S-heterocycle-containing compounds have been widely reported as anticancer, antidiabetic, antimicrobial, antihypertension, antiviral, anti-inflammatory etc.
