Leadership skills are inborn or can be developed in a person’s life. It’s never too early to initiate the development of leadership skills and to understand the potential for it. However, childhood period is the best age for learning this skill. Leadership has to be inclusive in approach so that conflict resolution can lead to better team handling. The behavioral traits as mentioned in ‘Five Big Personality Model’ are considered significant for leadership skills. On the other hand, development of leadership skills will be influenced by play, school, educators, sports/Athletics and coaches for particular sports. The role of parents is also crucial as they are their role models for their children. Various strategies employed by parents help in shaping out their child’s personality for future leadership
