Original image has been corrupted by noise due to many ways such as variance in illumination in the capturing phase, overheating of sensors in the electronic circuits or due to aging of photos or it may depend on the environment. Noise in the image results shading of original data. Retrieval of object/data from the previous noised image is useful for the post operation of images in the fields like medical image processing, remote detection and many more cases. Recovery from corrupted image is possible up to an extent by effectively eliminating noises. This paper reviews different types of noises possibly found in digital images as well as the techniques used for removing those noises.
