Expanding and Shearing Bianchi type VIII universe with linear equation of state is presented. I have considered the matter (perfect fluid) with linear relation between pressure and density as . The general solution of the Einstein’s field equations for the cosmological model have been obtained under the assumption that shear scalar is proportional to expansion. The physical and kinematical consequences of the model are also concluded.
