In this chapter we learn about derivation and generalized derivation on a prime or semiprime ring. Then we learn about a line of research work where structure of a ring and mappings defined on it are studied. In particular, functional identities with central value involving generalized derivation acting as homomorphism on suitable subset of a semiprime ring is discussed here.
