Plant diseases are caused by numerous microorganisms, embracing bacteria, fungi, viruses, nematodes and protozoa affecting the agricultural produces and resulting in huge crop loss. Bacterial and fungal pathogens are the considerable damage causing organisms to the plants. A sustainable agriculture can be accomplished by putting an end to fertilizers and agrochemicals and results in the shaping of ecofriendly environment. Recent studies prove the usage of endophytes as biocontrol agents and gaining a special attention as captivating option for management of some plant diseases, showing a reduced impact on environment. Endophytes are appropriate substitutes for agrochemicals to provide an enhanced agricultural crop performances especially as biocontrol agents. Endophytes inhabit asymptomatically in plants and promote growth, elicit defense response against pathogen attack and act as remediators of abiotic stresses. In this chapter we will discuss about the applications of endophytes as bioherbicides, biopesticides and bioinsecticides.
