Abstract

All over the world, there are end number of food business manufacturers handling many or single food products; food manufacturing itself include many aspects viz., raw ingredients, processing equipment, man power, safe and hygienic conditions, shelf-life, nutrient content, packaging and transportation, etc. to reach the consumer with high safety standards. All the food manufacturers must be registered and licensed with concerned state or central licensing authority. Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has made regulations on registration and licensing of food manufacturers. In this chapter I have given procedures to be followed for registration, licensing of food business and some regulations followed for the products in India.
