Tourism serves as a powerful economic driver, and when led by women entrepreneurs, it fosters sustainable community development. In Himachal Pradesh, women are actively participating in tourism through homestays, handicrafts, eco-tourism, and adventure tourism. These enterprises not only enhance financial independence but also contribute to cultural preservation and environmental sustainability. However, challenges such as financial constraints, market access limitations, and socio-cultural barriers hinder their full potential. This chapter explores the role of women-led tourism enterprises, their socio-economic impact, policy interventions, and strategies for strengthening their participation in sustainable tourism. The study highlights successful case studies and recommends policy enhancements to create a more inclusive tourism ecosystem.
