Excellent performance and proper training are the essentials of sports performance. Sports nutrition is a very challenging field of nutritional practice with practical exposure on providing the fuel for physical activity. This chapter emphasizes on the fact that eating is a necessity but eating healthy is an art. It discusses on the role of nutrition in sports performance. It helps to understand the importance of protein in an athlete’s diet.
