Abstract

Cricket is a game that rule millions of hearts and thus the glory of the game has to be maintained at any cost. The concept of aggression in cricket is deep rooted in the history of the game. This problem of aggression has defamed the status of cricket. As cricket is loved by all this issue needs to be addressed and solved. In this chapter detailed information about aggression in novice cricket has been demonstrated. Aggression and its impacts, measures to prevent aggression and factors causing aggression in novice cricketers has been discussed thoroughly. It was found that factors like role model impact, pressure, lack of knowledge and lack of sportsmanship were the main causes of aggression in novice cricketers. Aggression has cost players in various ways and has affected their performance. Thus, this issue has to be solved as early as possible. Measures to overcome aggression has also been discussed in this chapter.
