Abstract

The whole globe is experiencing the giant pandemic with an official name “COVID 19” where “Bharat Mata, India” will never be an exceptional realm. Due to this pandemic, most of the employees do lose their jobs, and businesses were shut down. Retaining labor has become tough for employers. Many organizations have been into shutdown. To overcome this situation, every IT/ITES companies are looking into the techniques to keep the labor in the organization. This research paper explores the technique to retain labor during this pandemic situation. This research analyses the relationship between labor retention techniques & retaining labor during this pandemic situation and find out the best retention techniques in this pandemic situation. Data has been collected from 141 IT/ITES HR managers with a particular reference to Pune. Used a descriptive research design. The research hypothesis was tested using Multiple Correlation and Weighted Mean Average in statistical tools. 141 respondents were interviewed using a Systematic Random sampling method. The findings revealed that there is a relationship between Paid vacation, Retention bonus, Paid Maternity & Paternity leave, Grievances policy, and labor retention. Job securities, Teamwork are some of the techniques that are used by employers to retain labor even during this pandemic situation. Providing retention bonuses to labor provoke them to stay longer in an organization even after and during this COVID 19 pandemic situation.
