Hibiscus rosa-sinensis, known as the Chinese hibiscus, China rose and shoe flower. It is an evergreen flowering shrub. In Indonesia, these flowers are called "kembang sepatu", which literally means "shoe flower”. The genus Hibiscus has more than 300 species. Hibiscus derived from the Greek word hibiskos. The plant is widely grown for its ornamental as well as medicinal properties.
