Abstract

Food labels are the most important tools that are always visualized by the customers during buying the product. Food labels gives the information regarding the ingredients, nutrient content, food allergens, food additives, manufacturing date, expiry date of the selected product. Food labels also act as a marketing tool and may influence the perception of the customer's food quality and dietary choices. The attractive packaging of the food products may influence several customers. However, reading the food labels helps several health-conscious customers make proper choices before buying a product. A person with a good food labeling understanding will always buy the correct food and can ensure the quality of food in terms of product as well as the nutrient content of the food product. People look at food labels for many more reasons. However, whatever the reason is, many consumers want to understand how to use the displayed information effectively and easily. The label-reading skills are concerned to make it easier for every consumer to use the nutrition facts, claims labels to make quick, informed food decisions to help you choose a healthy diet.
