Abstract

Research is a careful or critical inquiry or examination in seeking facts or principles. Research is the diligent investigation to ascertain. Education research has enabled significant progress to be made in curriculum development and reform, educating learners with difficulties, understanding the individual differences and preferences, and adapting methods of instruction to the needs of individual learners. Educational research is a type of systematic investigation that applies empirical methods to solving challenges in education. It adopts rigorous and well-defined scientific processes to gather and analyze data for problem-solving and knowledge advancement. The primary purpose of educational research is to expand the existing body of knowledge by providing solutions to different problems in pedagogy while improving teaching and learning practices. Educational researchers also seek answers to questions bothering learner-motivation, development, and classroom management. Education research has enabled significant progress to be made in curriculum development and reform, educating learners with difficulties, understanding the individual differences and preferences, and adapting methods of instruction to the needs of individual learners.
