The global population is rapidly increasing at an alarming rate thereby increasing demand for more food has increased. In the race of producing more and luxuriant crop, farmers are solely rely on the fertilizers as an axial inputs which could boost the yield and nutritional quality of crops after introduction of fertilizers responsive varieties. Despite providing the optimal fertilizers for growth and yield, the current agricultural trend find it hard to accomplished need of the present demand for food without extensive use of the fertilizers. Moreover, farmer preponderance on inorganic fertiliser over the past few decades to boost growth and yields open on to deprivation of natural resources and its ecosystem. There arises the necessity to formulate for suitable alternative that would fulfil the crop requirements in sustainable manner. Nanotechnology has been emerged as alternative sources which work at nano scale. Among the different nano-enabled products in agriculture nano fertilizers has been given emphasis today. They are nutrient fertilizers composed in whole or part of nanostructured formulations that can be delivered to the plants allowing for efficient uptake or slow release of active ingredients. The encapsulated nutrients are released in a controlled manner in nano size form to hasten efficiency of crop plants. The different smart and dynamics fertilizers have sprout up through nano materials and nanoparticles including the smart delivery of biologically prepared NPs with fertilizers or even bio fertilizer. The logical crux of nano fertilizers is to lift agricultural outputs, categorised by proper assortment and even dispersal of seeds, aided with adequate irrigation as well as synchronisation of fertilizers usage. The vigorously prepared nano materials right from chemical to biological till microbial stage hold massive potential for mounting nontoxic and effortlessly biodegradable fertilizers besides chemical fertilizers which would serve in the future research study.
