Abstract

Physically fitness a need of the days in human society. In this age lack of muscular fitness leads towards the various disorders in human body. The muscular fitness of student’s population is not good. More over today’s medical sciences has also given greater importance towards the development of muscular fitness. Various reports also revealed that practice of Surayanamskar results for improvement of muscular fitness.The sun sustains life on earth. Our ancient seers acknowledged this & revered the Sun. The Suryanamskar is an appreciation in motion that is offered to the sun. It involves twelve postures signifying the sun's cycles which run at approximately twelve and a quarter years. Dr. Kraus worked with Dr. Sonaya Weber, a fellow Austrian émigré at Columbia Presbyterian, in the hospital’s Posture Clinc for children, which she had established to treat children with the psture problem. Dr. Kraus and Dr. Weber developed their six Kraus-weber tests to measure their patient’s level of strength and flexibility in the back, stomach, and hip muscle used to hold the body erect.
