Agriculture, as the main source of national income for most of the developing countries, increases income of rural population which in turn leads to more demand for industrial products, thus development of industrial sector. Each of the crops needs different harvesting seasons, growth condition and attention. Biosensor as an analytical device used in many science sectors is now being used in agricultural improvement also. It is used to measure level of pesticides, herbicides, heavy metals of soil, monitoring soil water conditions, pathogen control etc. It could be used for the monitor and verify the presence and amount of Genetically Modified Organism (GMOs) in transgenic food. It is not feasible with existing technology to predict the possible occurrence of soil disease. Nanotechnology used in biosensor produces Nano-biosensor acts as a tool for detecting biological agents. Biosensors used in various ways have improved status in agricultural field, which is increasing day by day. It acts as a novel tool for sustainable development in agro technology.
