Abstract

The most fascinating technology of the future, the biochip, is a product of the realms of computer science, electronics, and biology. In molecular biology, biochips are engineered substrates ("miniaturized laboratories") that can host large numbers of simultaneous biochemical reactions. One of the goals of biochip technology is to efficiently screen large numbers of biological analytes, with potential applications ranging from disease diagnosis to detection of bioterrorism agents. It is a brand-new biosecurity tool that can precisely track information and the person who is actually doing it. Genomic technology is promised by biochips. Biochips are quick, precise, and small, and it is anticipated that they will one day be just as useful as computer chips. There are numerous potential applications for these goods in both clinical and research settings, and there is a significant market for them. This study concludes that biochips have great commercial potential and possible applications in both academic and clinical contexts. With biochips, it is no longer necessary to remember bothersome PINs, passwords, and Social Security numbers (SSN). For secure online E-money transactions, Biochip has a number of different methods. The strength of biochips lies in their ability to find missing children, fallen troops, and wandering Alzheimer's patients. The chips are small enough to be injected under the skin with a hypodermic syringe needle and are about the size of an uncooked grain of rice. They send out an identifying number in response to a signal from the detector, which is being kept a short distance away.
