Abstract

The seed bank technology, also known as seed banks or seed’s banks, preserves genetic variety by storing seeds; as a result, it is a sort of gene bank. There are numerous benefits to seed storage. In order to boost crop output, disease resistance, drought tolerance, nutritional quality, flavor, and other traits, plant breeders need certain genes to be preserved. Another is to prevent the genetic diversity of rare or threatened plant species from being lost in an effort to ex situ conserve biodiversity. In order to preserve the historical and cultural worth of many plants that were used by humans for ages but are now less often used, seed banks are available. Genetic resources that are otherwise kept in situ or in field collections are safeguarded by collections of seeds held at continuous low temperature and low moisture. The original idea behind seed banks was to preserve the historical and cultural worth of many plants that were previously widely used by humans but are now less often used. A seed bank, also known as a seed bank or seeds bank, is a sort of gene bank since it preserves genetic variety by storing seeds. Genetic resources that are otherwise kept in situ or in field collections are safeguarded by collections of seeds held at continuous low temperature and low moisture. Even if it has many benefits, there are numerous difficulties with regards to seed conservation, its technology, etc.
