Abstract

India faces a major healthcare burden with type-2 diabetic mellitus (T2DM). The changing field of multi-targeted medications for the treatment of type 2 diabetes in India is examined in this review. Adequate glycemic control is frequently unachievable with traditional mono-targeted treatments. By tackling the intricate pathophysiology of type 2 diabetes more thoroughly, multi-targeted medications present a viable strategy. The workings, effectiveness, and safety characteristics of these medications, as well as the socioeconomic and legal aspects affecting their accessibility. To improve T2DM treatment outcomes in India, this review emphasizes the necessity of ongoing innovation and cooperation.
